I used to like Elon Musk

I used to love Elon Musk. When in the early 2010s he showed off futuristic cars, like the first Tesla, becoming a competitor to NASA by shooting rockets into space and creating the satellite network Starlink — just like that — he reminded me on Iron Man, but for real. He seemed to be the good guy. Although driven of course by making money, everything he did seemed to be creating something good for mankind. I was even intrigued learning he started writing small programs for the Commodore VIC-20 as child back in South Africa.

But then the his child changed her transgender identity, to which he gave consent initially as required by law, he changed, did a 180° turn. The only explanation I have that Musk must have received a trauma, possible brain damage, because for him it was a deep shock that his child would "dare" to do this.

Seemingly pushed into a corner he since then, he seems to find ways to let off steam. Being rich helped to create ties with high role politicians, like Donald Trump. Buying Twitter helped him to get control over a major social network. By getting rid of its senior staff and changing the very foundation the platform, now called X Musk created a megaphone allowing him to let go of his frustration, by bullying apparently weaker (not so rich) people. Including lifting a ban to protect transgender people.

Trump apparently wants to use his as financial consultant for his America First ideology, which would lead into isolation if Trump and Musk can go through with it, destroying relations and connections to the outside work, which were groomed, taken care of and prospered since after World War II. And Musk is on board, because he likes bullying everybody out of pure frustration about what his child "did to him".

I am pretty sure if his child hadn't done this we would still have the Musk people used to love for the good things he did. But Elon Musk is weak too, couldn't cope with the events inside his family. He has the money though, could get the best of the best psychiatrist exist to get back to normality again. But he didn't and instead lets other suffer, just to let go of his frustration.

Let's just hope Trump doesn't changes the American law saying you have to been born in the United States to become her president. Autocrats tend to do this to cling to power, like China's Xi and probably Putin. Because then, if American won't be fed up with Trump's destructing course after 2029, Elon Musk might become President of the USA. God help us all!

Another thing I don't get is why Musk and Trump seem to be f**ck buddies. Musk came up with one of the first successful electric vehicle, a Tesla. Created this company to build EVs. May be I am naive and thought that one of the ideas was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. While Trump wants to tear down wind energy turbines, giving as reasons that whales hate them. Later criticizes the British to ban oil drilling in the North Sea. He seems to also a big fan of fracking. All things which contradict to cool down the earth. By the way, I wonder how many people lost their homes in the California wildfires 2025 agree with trump to get more CO2 into the atmosphere... May be Trump is stuck in an "end life crisis" to talk like he talks and does things he does, and wants to add some billions to his account before he is gone. Because Musk has more years ahead. So why does he support Trump's destruction of the climate? Is the venting of his anger about everything (especially because of his transgender daughter) and to go down in history as a cunt more important than to help, so that future generations can have a better life, and not see more and more destructive hurricanes and wildfires?
